Promote Your Network Marketing Business
a full-time internet marketer for the last 16 years and been working in network marketing for the last 12 years. I'm going to share with you some of the keys that helped us build an INC 5000 company from home and train a lot of network marketers and generate over 400,000 leads so stay tuned.
So first I'm going to share with you a very powerful way to think differently about online promotion that has to do with stores on the interstate. Next I'm going to share with you the number one most effective strategy that's working right now and lastly, we're going to wrap it up in a bow and give you a full marketing blueprint on exactly what you can do right now to crush it online.
So you're wanting to promote your network marketing business online and let me ask you this very simple question. Is it easy to determine what problem you solve? Now this is a big question so if I'm scrolling social media and I come across your content, can I easily tell what it is that you solve or would I have to click your bio and kind of read it there and if I read it there, would I then understand or would it still be confusing and here's the analogy.
Remember I mentioned the interstate and stores on the interstate, so let's say that you're going down the interstate 80 miles an hour, right? A little bit over the speed limit. be careful, right, you're loop going down the interstate and off in the distance you're passing these you know warehouses and storefronts and they say store, warehouse, right, or they don't even have a sign. You're just driving along, you're looking over there. If they're hard to understand what they are, would you just have all the time in the world to go ahead and pull on over and peer in the window to determine what they actually are or you're just going to drive right past them?
You're going to drive right past them, let's be honest. Well that's what people are doing every single day to your content and your profile because they can't tell what problem you solve. Now what if you're driving down that same interstate and you look over and it says you lose 14 pounds in 21 days, ask us how or it says you know we help you overcome past trauma or here's how to be better as a digital photographer. Very specific, you understand what that is and if you're looking for that thing, you will pull over. Now if you think that your bio is enough that it explains it in the bio, the bio is like someone peering in the store window, right? If I can peer in the store window and determine what you're doing oh okay, there's their bio.
I see a menu or something, then you're still making it too hard for the person that doesn't know you to understand what it is that you do, what problem do you actually solve. So you need to be more clear in your content that you're posting online, whether it's TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, etc. One really simple strategy for this is make sure if you're doing a video, like if you're doing a TikTok or you're doing an Instagram reel or you know now Facebook is rolling out reels, make sure you have a cover image that talks about what are you talking about in that video. You see so many people upload videos with no cover image so basically what you're saying is I hope people have all the time in the world, enough time to watch my video, not even know what it's about and then they'll reach out to me. Well that's a lot of hoping right there. Be more specific in the content that you post out there and you'll get more specific prospects and leads come to you. Now, what is the most effective strategy right now? The most effective strategy that we see in our students and in our clients is TikTok. We love TikTok and the reason we love it is because of its algorithm.
Its algorithm doesn't care if you're an influencer or not. It isn't going to like you know Facebook and Instagram without the reals does and just show it to a small percentage of people that know you and already follow you, it's actually going to take your content and show it to whoever it thinks might like it whether they know you or not. Now that same suggestion of having a cover image definitely applies, right? Just because it's super powerful, don't be lazy and not do a cover image. You need to say what it is that you're focused on, what's in that video that would make someone stop the scroll or stop on the interstate and pull off. We want them going through the scroll and say oh wait a minute, I struggle with nighttime sugar cravings. Let me watch this.
I struggle with cracked skin, let me- let me do this. I struggle with addiction or whatever it is that your- whatever problem you are solving. Now notice I'm this whole time I've talked about problem you're solving, not thing you're selling. If you focus on the theme you're selling, you're only going to get people that are ready to buy and most people aren't ready to buy. Most people need more information and so you provide them more information by sharing around the problems that they suffer with. So if you're selling a weight loss pill or weight loss shake or whatever it is, talk about meal planning, talk about you know cutting down on carbs, the right food to eat, not to eat, talk around your product and service, not exactly that product and service where it's just a pitch. And so if you want more people coming to you, you want more leads, more prospects, highly suggest you jump on the TikTok train and by the way, everything you learn around TikTok also applies to Facebook reels as they're rolling out and Instagram reels. The short video formula is the number one strategy right now. So before I get into my last point where I share with you the full blueprint of what you can do right now to fully promote your business online, feel free to share this video.
Who do you know that is really wanting to generate more leads and sales using the internet, using social media and maybe they're struggling, maybe they need some of this advice maybe, they're doing it all wrong, feel free to share this with them and I'm sure they'll thank you. All right so I shared with you that the number one strategy that I like is TikTok but that doesn't mean it's the only thing, right? It doesn't mean that it's the only thing that you should be doing. There's a full marketing blueprint. Now when I started, when I got serious about internet marketing, I was doing a video every day, I was putting that video into a blog post and then a couple years into this,
I would also strip out the audio and put that into a podcast, I'm not saying that those things don't still work, they do still work but to make it really, really simple for you, here's the breakdown that I would do. Number one as often as you can, as often as you're willing, I would love to see you do one a day but do create a short video. A short video that you can use for TikTok, use for Instagram reels and then also as they're rolling out Facebook reel. So, it's created one time, posted to TikTok, Instagram reels and Facebook reels. Now one thing to understand is Facebook, they own Instagram and both Instagram and Facebook hate TikTok, they don't like it and so there are ways that you can save your TikTok without the tick tock logo bouncing around it and so you know very easy to do that, that's not a difficult thing to do. You can google that later if you want but take get make sure the TikTok logo isn't on when you upload to Instagram or and you upload to Facebook because they have publicly said they don't like that so don't do that. But that would be step number one. Step number two is also as often as you can and this is for the person that wants to maximize.
Now if you're looking to do as little as possible, then do the short video, upload to the three platforms and bada bing you're done. If you're wanting to really maximize then I would also at least a few times a week do a little bit longer video where you dive deeper into the solving of that problem, right? So if your TikTok is a quick you know meal prep, you preparing a meal that will help people lose weight or whatever it is that your- whatever problem you're solving, then a longer video that you would upload to YouTube, maybe it originates as a Facebook live and then goes to YouTube is you doing a more thorough example because what I've found is when people really resonate with your short videos, whether it's Instagram reels or TikTok etc, they'll do one of two things. They'll either one, reach out to you which is great, right? You can have a conversation, talk about what it is that you offer and sell or number two, they will search you to see if you have other content out there.
Now if all you have is short videos and TikTok's, Instagram reels then there may be a limit to how much rapport you build with them and how much they want to work with you but if you have some longer content too, you're really going to hook them in. Ideally you want your perfect prospects seeing you on as many platforms as possible and you forming this you know circle around them wherever where they go no matter what platform, they're seeing your stuff, that's when they're like okay enough already. I want to work with you or I want to buy your product or you know what is it that you sell like you literally will have people ask you that. And so I would combine the short video with the longer video and if you're not generating leads,
I would combine it with a prospecting strategy and the prospecting strategy we teach here on this channel, we have several videos around it so feel free to you know look around on this channel. We have several specific to prospecting but that would be my full blueprint. Short video, long video, prospecting. You do those three basic things on the different platforms and you're on your way to go. Now do you need more help? Do you need your handheld?
